Kitchen waste is an important component of domestic waste, and it both harmful rich in resources. Approximately 1.3 billion tons kitchen are produced every year worldwide. high moisture, readily decayed, has unpleasant smell. Environmental pollution can be caused if this treated improperly. Conventional treatments (e.g., landfilling, incineration pulverization discharge) cause environmental, economic, social problems. Therefore, the development a harmless resource-based treatment technology urgently needed. Profits generated from by converting into biofuels. This review intends to highlight latest technological progress preparation gaseous fuels, such as biogas, biohythane biohydrogen, liquid biodiesel, bioethanol, biobutanol bio-oil, waste. Additionally, pretreatment methods, processes, influencing factors improvement strategies biofuel production summarized. Problems that encountered biofuels discussed provide reference for its use energy utilization. Optimizing process biofuels, increasing efficiency service life catalysts reaction, reasonably treating utilizing by-products reaction residues eliminate secondary pollution, improving yield reducing cost future directions conversion
